Beautifully designed with original turquoise and deep blue enamel. Fully hallmarked on the handle for Sterling silver (lion) Birmingham (anchor)1905 (f) and with the maker's mark J F for James Fenton. There is also a registered number mark: 417290. The outside bowl of the spoon is also marked with the lion and date letter f for 1905.Silverware of this quality was. Designed by the best designers of the day including Archibald Knox and made by renowned silver makers such as William Hair Haseler, James Fenton, Murrle Bennett & Co, John Baker Bennett & Co. The spoon is in very good condition for its age, with no visible loss to the enamel (see photos - though apologies for the areas of reflection - these are not flaws), a rare excellent early example.
